Katalin earned her MA degrees in Philosophy and Hungarian Language and Literature at Eötvös Loránd University. She volunteered in a human rights education program for high school students at Amnesty International Hungary. After working in an education development research and at a foundation supporting kids in child protection, she became a team member of Hungarian LGBT Alliance in projects against school bullying and discrimination. When Háttér Society took over the guidance of Diversity Education Working Group (DEW) from the Alliance, she continued her work as coordinator of DEW at Háttér.
