Report to the FRA on the threats to democratic values in Hungary, including legal restrictions on freedom of expression, discrediting LGBTQI NGOs and journalists working on the topic, and hatespeech by politicians.
Our advocacy activities are carried out with the support of the Our Common Values programme, funded by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme of the European Union, and implemented by ÖKOTÁRS Foundation and its partners.
At the end of January 2024, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) published a report on the Hungarian child protection system prepared by the National University of Public Service and the Office of the Fundamental Rights Commissioner. Together with three other organisations, we protested in an open letter that the document presents the anti-LGBTQI legislation, known as the Propaganda Law, as a 'promising practice'
