ENACT: Enhancing the capacity of civil society organizations to support victims of anti-LGBTQI hate crimes

Between March 2024 and February 2026 we are implementing a research, capacity-building and awareness raising project titled Enhancing the capacity of civil society organizations to support victims of anti-LGBTQI hate crimes. 

Objectives:

  • mapping and evaluating existing services for victims of anti-LGBTIQ hate crimes;
  • analyzing the experiences of victims of anti-LGBTQI hate crimes and key professionals;
  • promoting cooperation between public bodies and civil society organizations providing assistance to victims;
  • guaranteeing the provision of appropriate services for victims of anti-LGBT hate crimes;
  • developing policy recommendations; 
  • training security and justice practitioners, reducing discrimination and revictimization;
  • raising awareness about the rights of victims, available services, the personal and social consequences of anti-LGBTIQ violence and overlapping oppression factors.
