Inclusive Spaces: Human Rights and Alternative Education
Háttér Society participates in a research, training and educational project titled Inclusive Spaces: Creating Inclusive Spaces through Human Rights Education and Alternative Learning Journeys in association with three other Hungarian NGOs between February 2022 and 2024 January.
Objectives:
- reducing discrimination against LGBTQI people in the workplace
- reducing the harassment and bullying of LGBTQI people in schools
- educating employers on LGBTQI-related issues
- raising social awareness through the representation of the everyday experiences of LGBTQI people
Activities:
- research on th experience of LGBTQI youth at school and LGBTQI people in the workplace, the effects of the propaganda law on school and workplace educational programs
- a toolkit for teachers and a guide for schools on the bullying of LGBTQI students
- training teachers and volunteer trainers to create an inclusive school environment
- organizing educational sessions and workshops
- publishing e-learning materials for students and employees
- holding a project closing conference

The European Commission's Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme provides a funding of EUR 177.202,59 for the whole project, of which EUR 47.543,31 covers the payment of Háttér.
