Our operators available via phone, Skype and chat answer any questions on LGBTQI topics; and offer help in relation to self-acceptance, coming out, or conflicts with your family, your partner, at your your school or workplace.
10-12 counselling sessions for people struggling with self-acceptance, coming out, forming relationships, managing conflicts or stress or other mental health issues fitting the LGBTQI profile of the service.
We offer free legal counselling and representation to victims of discrimination, harassment and violence on the grounds of sexual orientation or gender identity; and provide advice on any legal matter where the sexual orientation or gender identity of the person might be significant.
We run an HIV Peer Support Service, available in person and online; an HIV Hotline from 8am to 10pm, and hold regular community meetings. We raise awareness of sexual health in the LGBTQ community through research and publications.
We collect and make available LGBTQI-themed books, studies, films and news items; as well as archival materials about LGBTQI life in Hungary.
We advocate for the elimination of discriminatory laws against LGBTQI people and their families; and for the adoption of laws and policies that respect their needs and concerns.
We conduct research regularly to explore the social situation and problems faced by LGBTQI people, and to understand their needs and concerns.
We regularly organize awareness raising trainings for members of the LGBTQI community; and sensitivity trainings for professionals working with LGBTQI people.
We regularly organize lectures, movie screenings and discussions on the life, culture and history of LGBTQI people. We value people who work for our community by presenting the Háttér Award every year.
